Meet Ahmad Abdulaziz Yari
Talata Mafara, Zamfara State
Ahmad Abdulaziz Yari is a community advocate from Talata Mafara, Zamfara State, and an Executive Board Member of the City Boy Movement. His work spans empowerment, community support, youth engagement and sport.
Through Ahmad Abdulaziz Yari Foundation, he is involved in charitable empowerment and support for people facing hardship. He also serves as Patron of Yari Sport Initiative and National Convener of Yari Messengers, distinct organisations with their own programmes and responsibilities.
He is the son of Senator Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari, a former Governor of Zamfara State who represents Zamfara West in the Senate.

Ahmad Abdulaziz Yari Foundation focuses on charitable empowerment and community support for people facing hardship. Its remit includes concern for less privileged people, widows, orphans and vulnerable households. This philanthropic work is distinct from Yari Sport Initiative, Yari Messengers and the City Boy Movement, each of which has its own purpose and organisation.

In September 2025, Ahmad and a group of peers visited patients at the General Hospital in Talata Mafara. The visit included prayers, time with patients, and comfort and hygiene packages, during the celebrations around a family wedding.
